"THE FUTURE OF TOMORROW" Ilhan Abdullahi Omar was the first Somali-American in the United States Congress and the first woman of colour to represent Minnesota. She is also one of the first two Muslim women to serve in the congress. she had been exposed to several death threats including Donald Trump as a result of her background. Ilhan first began her journey to her professional career as a community nutritional educator at the university of Minnesota. Before moving and settling into Minneapolis where her father worked as a taxi driver then later on worked for the post office. She had spoken about her school bullying she had endured in her time in Virginia stimulated by her Somali features and wearing her Hijab.
